Our Story
Born from Bedtime Stories and a Love of Cats
Black Cat Publications began in 2011 during a maternity leave daydream. Emily Cole, a mum of three from Hertfordshire, had a simple idea: write the kind of rhyming book she wished she could find for her own children.
After years of dreaming, drafting and determination, that idea became the Guess, Boo! series. Today, Black Cat Publications creates original children's books, colourful prints, greetings cards and gifts, all brought together under one roof and dedicated to Emily's own fur babies.
