1. Who we are

This website is operated by Black Cat Publications (“we”, “us”, “our”), founded by Emily Cole and based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Products

We sell hand-illustrated children’s books, art prints, greetings cards, coasters and gifts, as well as digital download prints. We take care to describe and picture our products accurately, but slight variations in colour may occur between your screen and the finished item. Printed-to-order items may vary marginally from the preview images.

3. Pricing

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already confirmed. We try to ensure all prices are correct, but if we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to continue before dispatch.

4. Orders

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted, and a contract formed, when we send you an order confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example if an item is out of stock or there has been a pricing error — and we will refund any payment taken in full.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Payment is taken at the time of order.

6. Digital downloads

Some products are supplied as digital files for you to print at home or through a print shop. These are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only — you may not resell, redistribute or share the files. Because digital products are delivered instantly, your right to cancel ends once the download has begun, and digital items are non-refundableonce accessed (see our Returns & Refunds Policy).

7. Intellectual property

All artwork, illustrations, designs, text and images on this site are the property of Black Cat Publications and Emily Cole, and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Shipping & returns

Delivery is covered in our Shipping Policy and your cancellation, return and refund rights in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Both form part of these terms.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable or that arise from your misuse of a product (for example, improper printing or framing of a digital file).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that applies.
